“It’s not enough to stare up the steps, we must step up the stairs.” Vaclav Havel

from me to you…
The stairs in the photo was taken by me on a summer camp day trip. Upon arriving at the stairs I stopped and looked up with the thought, “are we going up there!” I stood for a moment just looking up and I knew I wasn’t going to get to the top unless I took the first step. Our counselor that was leading the group quickly led everyone up the stairs, but I slowly took my time. One step at a time. When I got to the top I looked down and through my racing heart and quick breaths, I smiled. I made it.

Today is Labor Day and most of us have the privilege of having the day off from our 9-5. It’s also a reminder that the season will soon be changing. Leaving the summer and entering into the fall. I awoke feeling really inspired and decided it’s a new season for me. It’s time to get back to writing. I spent the past year staring up the steps but today I take my first step to reaching my writing goals.

What have you been staring up at? Don’t let the staircase scare you. It’s not in what we see. We are to walk by faith and not by sight. As Vaclav Havel quoted ” it’s not enough to stare up the steps, we must step up the stairs.” Let’s do it together. I took my first step of my writing staircase. Now you take your first step of your staircase. Just one step at a time.

Blessings,
LaDonna
