from me to you… For most of my state we have been quarantined for over 30-days. I have periodically strolled through my news feed on facebook. I saw a lot of encouraging and funny post. I also saw that people are dealing with fear and anxiety during this crisis. “Fear is one of the most powerful emotions. It has a very strong effect on your mind and body.” (mentalhealth.org) “Anxiety is a word we use for some types of fear that are usually to do with the thought of a threat or something going wrong in the future, rather than right now.” (mentalhealth.org) The greatest weapon we have against fear and anxiety is the Word of God. People are looking for something to hope in. So, I wanted share some bible verses to remind us that we do not have to live in fear.

Psalm 56:3     When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Psalm 34:4     I sought the Lord, and he answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.

Isaiah 41:10   So do not fear, for I am with you;    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you;    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 35:4    Say to those with fearful hearts, Be strong, do not fear; your God will come…”

Psalm 94:19   When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

Joshua 1:9      Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Psalm 23:4     Even though I walk    through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,    for you are with me; your rod and your staff,    they comfort me.

John 14:27     Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Psalm 46:1-3  God is our refuge and strength,  an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way    and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam    and the mountains quake with their surging.

There are so many more verses in the bible to help us conquer fear an anxiety. I encourage you to search the scriptures. You will find peace, comfort, guidance, direction and solutions for your life. And most of all, you will learn of an Almighty, Powerful and Loving Father.

The NIV version of the bible was used for the above verses.

Blessings,

LaDonna
