S.T.O.P See The Obstacles’ Possibilities
“Success is determined not by whether or not you face obstacles, but by your reaction to them. And if you look at these obstacles as a containing fence, they become your excuse for failure. If you look at them as a hurdle, each one strengthens you for the next.” Ben Carson, Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story
from me to you…
My husband and I were walking in the park when we I noticed the stop sign along the pathway. I suddenly felt drawn to take a picture of it. I thought maybe I’ll have a use for the picture one day. A few days ago I was going through the pictures on my phone to clear up some storage. I came across the stop sign again and felt compelled to just meditate for a moment. Before I knew it I was writing in my notebook these words; See The Obstacles’ Possibilities.
At some point in our lives, I believe we are all going to face some type of obstacle; that thing that’s in the way of getting to next phase in our life. If you’re like me, you maybe looking at an obstacle now! I’ve learned that the best tool for eliminating, removing or going around it is FAITH and HOPE. Ben Carson stated, “success is determined not by whether or not you face obstacles, but by your reaction to them.” Here lies the question for us all; What’s your reaction to your obstacles? I do know that complaining about it, worrying about it or being angry about it is not going to move anything out of your way. We must have a positive attitude and see the possibilities in the obstacles. My in the way thing is causing me to pray more. I read more motivational tools. I make daily declarations of success. I love this quote by Eric Hoffer, “It stills hold true that man is most uniquely human when he turns obstacles into opportunities.” Now how awesome is that! Let’s turn these obstacles into some great opportunities.
Consider it a sheer gift friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well developed, not deficient in any way. (James 1:2-4 The Message Bible)
